The following instructions are applicable to foreigners who stay in Malaysia with a student, working, dependent, or any other valid permit. As an application, you have to follow the three steps to complete the application and receive your IMMI grant letter. Remember, Australia does not provide a sticker visa on your passport, so the IMMI grant letter is your permit letter to travel in Australia.

Four Steps of the Australia Tourist Visa Application
Step 1: Submit Application: Visitor Visa (600)
Click the following link and log in with your user ID, Password, and Authentication Code using the mobile phone Authentication App. After that, click on the Apply button to start your application. The application fee is AUD 200. It depends on money exchange rate if you pay through the Malaysian online banking gateway. I paid around MYR 570 for application fees.

Step 2: Upload Supporting Documents

Australia Tourist Visa Processing Time
- Electronic Travel Authority (subclass 601): Many applicants receive a response within 12 hours. However, if more information is required, the process can take longer. Officials recommend applying at least four weeks before your intended travel date.
- eVisitor (subclass 651): For many passport holders, 90% of applications are processed within 10 days.
- Visitor visa (subclass 600) (Tourist Stream): 90% of applications are processed within 33 days.
- Visitor visa (subclass 600) (Business Visitor Stream): 90% of applications are processed within 20 days
