Nilai International School follows the Cambridge Curriculum. For your children, this is the right place to study in this school. Students can learn the authentic Cambridge Curriculum from this school. This curriculum helps students develop their academic knowledge. The school has a total of three terms. Their first language is English and Malay, and their second language is Chinese Mandarin.
In this school, 70% of the students are local, and the rest are international students. The school has a large green campus and is part of the larger development by the Nilai Group, which also includes Nilai University and a golf resort. It is easily accessible, with the North-South Expressway and rail track connected to Kuala Lumpur and KL International Airport. The school is also a boarding school for pupils of 11 years and over (going up to Secondary level) who are looked after by House Parents, who also teach them. NIS is a global member of the UK’s BSA (Boarding Schools’ Association).

International Students’ Documents Checklist
Before Arrival
- Child’s passport (only the front part where personal details are stated)
- Child’s birth certificate
- Child’s photo (passport-size with blue background)
- Parents’ passports (only the front part where personal details are stated)
Note: Copies of the documents above do not need to be certified.
After Arrival
- 1 copy of the child’s passport in colour, including all blank pages
- 6 copies of the child’s photo (passport-size with blue background)
- 1 copy of the child’s birth certificate
- 1 copy of both parents’ passports in colour, including all blank pages
- 1 copy of both parents’ photo (passport-size with blue background)
- 1 copy of parents’ marriage or divorce certificate & child custody letter if applicable
- 1 copy of the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) of the parents and the child
Note:
- Copies of the child’s birth certificate, parents’ marriage certificate, divorce letter child custody letter (if applicable) must be certified, and you may get the Malaysian Consulate General Office/ Embassy in your country to certify.
- If the documents are not in English, they must be translated by an authorized translator (notarized), and you may get the Malaysian Consulate General Office/ Embassy in your country to certify.
- Please bring along originals for all the above-stated documents.
- Please take note that the “After Arrival” documents are not required if the child already has a dependant pass or an MM2H programme pass, and kindly inform the school in advance (as we don’t need to apply for a student pass) and submit a copy of the relevant pass.
Other Documents
Kindly submit these documents for school records: a copy of the school leaving certificate and previous school report if applicable, the child’s medical certificate or immunization record.
