International Business School (IBS) is the first private business school located in Hungary. It was established in 1991. In this university, they have focused on business, management, and economics education. IBS has two campuses, one in Budapest and the other one is in Vienna. On the Budapest Campus, there are three beautifully restored buildings of architectural heritage. Our main campus in Budapest is located in a business park directly by the Danube and is an ideal venue for education. The Vienna campus is located in the heart of the city, surrounded by history and culture. There are plenty of opportunities nearby for shopping and dining out, and you can relax in the splendid park of the Belvedere just across the street.

IBS provides internationally recognized programs such as Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral levels, focusing on areas like General Management, Finance, Marketing, International Business, Tourism, and Human Resources. Admission Requirements

Bachelor’s Programs

• 3 A-level and 5 O-level exams
• Other international secondary or post-secondary qualifications will be considered individually.
• At least B2-level English proficiency.
• Achieving a score of over 60% on an advanced-level English final exam.
• IELTS minimum overall score of 6.0 points.
• TOEFL a minimum score of 72 in the iBT version.
• Cambridge Certificate with a minimum score of 169.
• PTE Academic with a minimum score of 50.
• EUROEXAM B2 level certificate
• Duolingo English Test with a minimum score of 105

Master’s Program

• First- or second-class Bachelor’s degree in any field of study. (they are conversion programmes)
• Bachelor’s degree in any field of study.
• Transcript with at least one module in mathematics or finance.
• CV
• Work reference of 3-5 years.
• Motivation Letter

PhD Programs

• First or second class, upper-division Master’s degree.
• Sufficient English skills and academic knowledge, as the IBS Research Officer checks with an Orientation Interview via Skype.
• The IBS Research Officer checks the applicant’s English skills with an Orientation Interview via Skype after the online application.

Starter Scholarship

Budapest Master’s and MBA Scholarship

It offers a 10-35% discount from the first payment of the tuition (can be the first semester or the overall programme fee) for applicants for the Master’s and MBA programmes who, in addition to general entry requirements, meet the following criteria:

• must have a CGPA of 3.00-4.00 (out of 4.00) or 75-100% average in other educational systems >> please check the table below
• must have an IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL 94 (iBT) or equivalent
• must attach a motivation letter to the scholarship email (minimum 200 words).

Age Requirements

However, a student under 18 years of age living in Hungary is considered by law to be underage, which means the University has additional responsibilities towards students it admits under the age of 18 until the date when they turn 18, even if this period is brief.

If you are under 18 when you enroll at IBS, you are officially an underage person in Hungary.

As a result, you will have to bear in mind some legal restrictions when starting your IBS studies and staying in Hungary:

• You alone cannot sign any official documents, including the IBS Education Contract or your residence permit at the Immigration Office, without your parent/guardian.
• You alone cannot rent a flat,
• You alone cannot open a bank account in Hungary,
• You alone cannot get vaccinated in Hungary, etc.
