International Islamic School Malaysia

Originally called IIUM Lower Education Sdn. Bhd., IIUM Schools Sdn. Bhd. In 1997, ISSB established itself as a private education provider. The founders aimed to offer primary, secondary, and A-level students an integrated, holistic education that upholds Islamic principles and values. This will enable all children to succeed academically and grow up to be lifelong learners and valuable community members.

By implementing the Malaysian National Curriculum at Sekolah Setiabudi (Setiabudi) and the Cambridge International Curriculum at the International Islamic School Malaysia (IISM), along with various Islamic programs, ISSB successfully attracts a large number of students from both local and international communities. By establishing the IISM Kuantan Branch in September 2013, the company is moving forward to have more branches all over Malaysia.

Required Documents:

1. Photocopy of student’s Birth Certificate & Passport (Identity Card for Malaysian only)
2. Photocopy Marriage Certificate (For International parents only)
3. A photocopy of the parents’ ID and Passport.
4. Complete records from the previous school.
5. School leaving certificate from the previous school.
6. Letter of sponsorship for sponsored students.
7. 6 recent passport-size photos (must be blue background).

Note: All documents need to be submitted before the placement test with English Translations.

Remember, IISM does not have any application fees; therefore, students will get MOI without payment.

Visa Application Process:

1. Submission of documents for Admission to get approval from the Ministry of Education (MOE)
   • Submit ALL required documents.
   (Kindly refer to the list of required documents.) through email

Important Reminder : 
I. Please mention the student’s name and passport number.
ii. The passport must be valid for more than 15 months at the date of submission.
iii. Please note that the MOE processing period is within 60 to 90 working days.

2. Insurance & Preparation of Visa Documents
   • The insurance can be done once you have reached Malaysia, OR
   • If you wish to apply for insurance in your country, you are required to prepare a special letter stating clearly that your insurance covers Malaysia as well.
   • The insurance must be of the Medical Insurance type.
   • Prepare the visa documents while you wait for MOE approval.
   (Kindly refer to the list of visa documents required.)

3. Processing

• The visa submission and processing period to the Immigration Department of Malaysia is within 30 working days.
  • Please note that only COMPLETE documents will be processed.

4. Visa Granted

• Once the Visa is granted, we will inform parents of visa collection.
  • All payments should be settled at the school office before collecting the passport.
  • A passport together with a visa can be collected once the payments have been made

Application Procedure:

1. When a student wants to apply to IISM, the student has to submit some documents to the school.

Here is the checklist below:

• Student’s Passport Information Page
• Academic Report Card
• Student’s Birth certificate
• Father’s photo
• Father’s Passport Information Page
• Mother’s Photo
• Mother’s Passport Information Page
• Marriage Certificate

2. After the application is done, the student gets the conditional offer letter from the school.
3. After getting the conditional offer letter, the student and his/her father and mother need a Malaysian tourist visa.
4. When they get a Malaysian E-visa, they go directly to the school, and the student has to face the interview and get the MOI approval.
5. Then the student has to pay the pre-registration fee, registration fee, deposit, 1^st semester fee, and yearly fee.
