A partnership between the University of Malaya (UM) and the University of Wales in the United Kingdom led to the establishment of Universiti Malaya-Wales (UM-Wales), a private institution. Through world-class excellence in teaching, learning, research, and innovation, the university aims to develop graduates who are relevant to the demands around the world.

EMGS and Total Initial Payment:
EMGS Fees: RM 3,400-3,550
Application Fee: RM 636
Registration Fee: RM 5,300-RM 6,890 (For Foundation RM 5,300, Bachelor, Masters & PhD RM 6,890)
Security Bond: RM 200- RM 2,000 (subject to nationality chargable By Immigration of Malaysia).
Important Notes
- For Credit Transfer Exemptions (CTE), a fee of RM 100-RM 200 will be charged for processing. CTE Fee will be different than the original fee.
- If a student register in additional module beyond the standard curriculum, an additional fee will be applied.
- An additional Resource & Research Fee will be charged for students enrolled in the Part-Time mode program for each semester beyond the duration of the full-time mode program timeline. The fee is RM 600 per semester for the Master’s program (Resource Fee) and RM 800 per semester for the Doctorate program (Resource Fee), with an additional RM 600 per semester for the Doctorate program (Research Fee).

Dual Degree: With UM-Wales’ Dual Award programs, you may earn a UK degree in Malaysia without having to pay the exorbitant fees associated with studying in the UK. Our partner university, the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD), in the United Kingdom, collaborates with us to offer our Dual Award programs. You will be certified by both UWTSD and UM-Wales upon graduation.
Student Mobility: Our partner university, the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD), in Wales, in the United Kingdom, offers Dual Award students the chance to study there. Year 2 is often when the study abroad time occurs. The cost of the mobility program is RM 21,000.
One of UWTSD’s picturesque campuses in Swansea is where you will study; the campus you are assigned to will depend on your program.
Study Visit:
All students are eligible to participate in UM-Wales’ short-term visit to the UK. Students will learn about various cultures, hone their language abilities, and expand their social and professional horizons in addition to seeing some of the most well-known sites in the UK.
