Required Documents for Bangladesh Tourist Visa

  1. Visa Application Form

Firstly, the applicant has to collect the visa application form. It is available at this link, you can download the MRV form, print it out, and fill up with a pen.

Additionally, if you want to apply online then please login to and submit your application online, then download and take a printout (4 pages including barcode page) of the submitted application.

  1. Passport
  • The original passport has to be submitted with the application; the passport must have a minimum of 06 (Six) months of validity.
  • One photocopy of your passport (information page/pages), if you have a previous visa then please submit a photocopy of the visa page/pages.
  1. Photograph
  • 02 (two) copies- Passport Size
  • Blue/White Background
  1. Bangladesh Visa Fee From Malaysia: RM 156

Bangladesh Visa Fee Payment Bank Details are as follows:

  • Account Number: 56 44 27 10 22 68

Your visa fee must be paid in May Bank. The visa unit doesn’t accept any cash, online transfers, ATM deposits, cheques, or pay orders. Please go to any May Bank branch cash counter and pay your visa fee to the following account. After that, you will get a yellow color cash deposit slip. Single Entry visa fees are RM 156 only (Tourists cannot apply for Multiple Entry).  To know other country citizens’ visa fees please contact to High Commission or please call to the telephone number.

  1. Letter of Invitation

If you want to apply for a Tourist Visa, you have to collect an Invitation letter (with a passport copy and Mobile Number of a Bangladeshi citizen) from Bangladesh. Any Bangladeshi citizen or other country citizen who is residing in Bangladesh can invite you. The invitation letter should be addressed to the Visa Section, Bangladesh High Commission, No. 5 (Lot 9 & 10), Jalan Sultan Yahya Petra, WP, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. If you don’t have an invitation letter, then submit an air ticket and hotel booking copy.

  1. Employee Letter (If working)

The applicant has to submit their employee confirmation letter/company recommendation letter. The letter has to mention that they need a tourist visa. The letter also mentions the Visa Section, Bangladesh High Commission, No. 5 (Lots 9 & 10), Jalan Sultan Yahya Petra, WP, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Applicant Bank Statement includes the last 03 months of transactions.

  1. Submission of Visa Application

After preparing all these documents, the applicant has to come to the Bangladesh High Commission Kuala Lumpur Malaysia to apply for the Visa Section. Bangladesh High Commission Kuala Lumpur. BDHCKL will take around five working days to deliver the visa.
