  • School Fee, Resource Fee, and Meal Plans are payable in 3 terms / 3 payments per year from Pre-School to A-Levels

  2. All fees indicated above are compulsory, non-refundable, and non-transferable. Deposit is refundable only with 6 months’ notice or upon completion of Year 11 (no early withdrawal)

ONLINE PLACEMENT TEST GUIDELINE

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A stable connection from the
  • A webcam and a microphone
  • Students might use a laptop/pc.

(The test will not be conducted if the first & second requirements are not met.)

RULES & REGULATIONS

  • The student will join the online placement test through a link provided by the exam unit. BIS shares the link with the marketer that has requested the online test which the marketer will share with the student/parents.
  • Once the student has joined the link, the examiner will admit the student to join the
  • The test consists of 3 parts which are the interview session, the 45 minutes test session, and the submission of
  • The examiner will check for the student’s audio quality and internet connection. (Please take note that the student must keep their webcam/camera on during the entire duration of the test, turning off the webcam/camera during the test/interview session being held will cause the student to be given a reminder, that the test/interview will not resume until the webcam/camera is turned back ) Once the examiner has confirmed that the student has a stable connection with clear audio and webcam/camera on, the examiner will notify the HoD to start with the interview session. Please note that the interview session will not be counted in the total duration of the 45-minute test.
  • If parents sit next to the student, the examiner will ask the parents to leave as no parents/siblings/relatives should be in the same room with the student. (IMPORTANT: THE TEST WILL BE CONSIDERED VOID IF THE EXAMINER SUSPECTED THAT THE STUDENT IS BEING HELPED BY OTHERS DURING THE TEST AND ENDS IMMEDIATELY. BELOW ARE THE LISTS OF THE THINGS THAT STUDENTS OR PARENTS SHOULD NOT DO DURING THE PLACEMENT TEST

  • The HoD will conduct the test according to the grade.
  • The HoD will notify the examiner whether the student is fit for the continuation of the test or not (this will depend on the student’s capability, the HoD will consider the student as unfit to continue with the placement test for the following reasons:
Students could not understand, speak, or read English
Student could speak English but could not read English
  • Once the HoD confirms that the student is fit for the continuation of the test, the examiner will resume the test by explaining to the student about the placement test:
    • The total time of the test is 45 minutes
    • Students can not use the following devices:
      • Translator
      • Calculator
      • Dictionary
      • Any device that has an internet connection
    • Students must have a pen/pencil and paper ready with them to write their
    • The student will send their answer to the examiner through
    • The test will be shared with the student through screen share, a student must notify the examiner if they have completed the question so the examiner can move to another
    • BIS records the test.
  • If the student has completed the test, the examiner will stop sharing the question and will ask the student to send their answer to the examiner’s email. The examiner will type in the email in the chat box, the student will only have 5 minutes (the examiner will time the student once the examiner has typed the email in the chat) to send the answer The student is not allowed to leave the test until the answer is sent to the examiner. Failure to do so will cause the test to be void.

School Transport

Bus transport services are available for students.

Brighton International School operated and managed school bus service for students to ensure the safety of the children and the in-time arrival.

Students or parents may apply for school transport by filling up the online transport request form or approaching the reception counter at school for manual registration. The bus services apply to Klang Valley only and the transportation fees depend on the distance from the school and the frequency of pick-up and drop-off.
