UniMel is a privately owned institution run by the government of Melaka. It was established in 1996 with a commitment to an excellent education, and the institution was upgraded to a university in 2009. It was the first private university to develop psychology to reduce psychological problems and fulfill labor demand. The university moved forward with changes and challenges.
The main objective of the university is to produce a righteous Muslim generation. The university focuses on building a generation to face challenges, The university emphasises studies based on Psychology.
According to the National education policy, the university is committed to supporting the nation.
UniMel offers more than 57 programs for the graduate and post-graduate, including business, Islamic banking, law, nursing, and biotechnology. The university has students from Morocco, Egypt, the UK, and Australia. It’s one of the high-class higher learning institutions for science and technology.
