Multimedia University (MMU) Entry Requirements
MMU Requirements for Undergraduate Students
(1) A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent in the Computing field from MMU or institutions recognized by the Senate.
(2) A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent in a related field from MMU or institutions recognized by the Senate; can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.
(3) A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, not meeting a CGPA of 2.50 in a related field from MMU or institutions recognized by the Senate can be accepted.
MMU Requirements For Postgraduate Students
(1) A Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Information Technology or a related field from MMU or institutions recognized by the Senate; or
(2) A Master’s degree or equivalent in a non-related field from MMU or institutions recognized by the Senate; and evidence of at least two (2) years of relevant working or research experience.
(3) Other academic qualifications equivalent to (1) or (2) that the Senate accepts.
(4) A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.67 or equivalent in a related field from MMU.

English Language Requirement For Foundation Students
• A minimum score of 4.0 for IELTS or its equivalent

A minimum score of 5.0 for IELTS or its equivalent.
However, a few faculties accept 4.5 for IELTS or its equivalent.

An applicant is required to possess a sufficient level of English language proficiency by
Obtaining one of the following:
(1) a minimum IELTS overall band score of 5.5/6.0; or
(2) a minimum overall TOEFL iBT score of 60; or
(3) a minimum MUET overall band score of 4; or
(4) a minimum Pearson Test of English score of 59; or
(5) a minimum Cambridge Qualifications and Test score of 169.

Multimedia University IDM Activation After Arriving in Malaysia
Please perform your IDM activation by following this link (https://spm.mmu.edu.my/sspr/private/login
) and complete the process within 10 minutes (after you click the Activate Account button).
Please use your Student ID and personal email to activate your IDM account. Kindly ensure that your internet connection is strong, and kindly also ensure that you do not close or refresh the IDM SPM portal page while the IDM activation process is in progress.
You may follow the guidelines below for activation:
Once you have successfully activated your IDM account, please use your IDM password to access the MMU Student Portal as per guidelines.
Upon successful completion of the IDM activation process, access the MMU Student Portal (https://clic.mmu.edu.my/psp/csprd/?cmd=login) to make payment as well as Complete the digital registration document and upload the photo.
